Denair Lions and Gaslight Theater Host Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

The Denair Lions Club and the Denair Gaslight Theater will be hosting the second annual Christmas tree lighting in front of the theater, on Gratton Road, this Saturday, December 2, beginning at 6:00 pm. Tell your friends and neighbors to bring the entire family as Santa Claus will be there to meet with the children and take pictures. There will be a Christmas movie following the ceremony for the family to enjoy inside the theater. The Denair Fire Department will be on hand collecting new unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots this year. All toys collected will be distributed to children in Denair. Donations will always be gladly accepted and will benefit the restoration of the Gaslight Theater building. Hot chocolate, coffee and snacks will be available.

The official lighting will be at 6:30 pm sharp! Come early to enjoy the festivities and community fellowship.

Denair Fire Department Deep Pit BBQ Follows Farm & Family Festival

Denair Fire Department Deep Pit BBQ is an annual event in Denair. It features some of the best deep pit BBQ you’ll ever taste! Tickets are $10 in advance, or $12 at the door. They offer drive-thru, take-out, or dine-in. Your generous donations help support public safety in the Denair community. Join them after the Denair Farm & Family Festival for dinner!

Have you been good this year, Denair?

Santa Claus is coming to Denair, with help from the Denair Fire Department, for two nights, to check his list and see who’s been naughty or nice. Make sure you’re out to see him and say hello! Santa will leave the Denair Fire Station on both evenings at 6:00 pm. He will be in your neighborhood soon after.

Santa will be on the east side of the railroad tracks on Friday, December 19, 2014 and on the west side on Saturday, December 20, 2014.
